Biography
Yukako Ono is an economist in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Ono conducts research in the area of industrial organization and urban economics. Her research interests include the location of corporate headquarters, firms' decision to outsource business services, and the organization of temporary help service industries.
Ono's research has been published in the Rand Journal of Economics, Journal of Urban Economics and Regional Science and Urban Economics, as well as Economic Perspectives, the Chicago Fed's quarterly research publication.
Ono received a B.A. in business and commerce from Keio University, Japan and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Brown University.
