Located at 230 South LaSalle Street, the Bank's Money Museum is free and open to the public year-round from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on Bank holidays.
Guided Tours
Guided tours lasting roughly 45 minutes are available at 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment. You can also visit the Money Museum on your own at any time during open hours.
Guided tours include:
- A short video about the operations of the Chicago Fed, the Federal Reserve System and monetary policy
- A question-and-answer session following the video
- A walk through the Money Museum with a knowledgeable tour guide
If you have a group of 15-39 people, you may reserve a guided tour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., daily. Advance reservations are required, and we are often booked several weeks in advance.
For groups larger than 39 people, divide your group and plan on 45-minute sessions for each group.
Please Keep in Mind:
- All visitors must show a photo ID before entering the Money Museum
- No food or drink is allowed
- School tours require one adult for every ten students age 17 or younger
- There are times when the Money Museum may be closed for security reasons
