In 2009, MSW featured events like this event for seniors featured in this video. But MSW isn't just for Mom and Dad. Events are offered all over the Iowa for kids and young adults, too. Our 2010 MSW has been set for April 17–24. Watch this site for updates on MSW 2010!
The third Money Smart Week in Iowa was another success. Nearly 100 partnering organizations sponsored events in Central Iowa, the Quad Cities and the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City corridor. One particular highlight was Ben Franklin's tour of fifth and sixth grade classrooms in March. Ben brought along a newly created comic book, Be Money Smart to teach the kids about money and saving. Ben, our teachers, our school principals and our sponsors gave away nearly 15,000 comic books. We were able to visit 98 classrooms, libraries and events.
