MSW Comes to You October 10–17

Before you plan your day, take a look at the public events on the Money Smart Week interactive calendar for 2009. More than 200 classes are being held throughout the state this week, covering everything from teaching your kids to save, to managing your mortgage and finances in these difficult times to planning for retirement. These events offer different speakers talking to people about their financial worries and offering Money Smart tips. Designed with you in mind, the events are big enough to accommodate everyone, yet small enough for you, the participant, to get your questions answered!

MSW Partner Teaches You about Buying Your First Home

A home that you own is the dream of many of us. But how do you know when you are ready? First, you will need to take a First Time Homebuyer course to qualify for a special interest rate reduction. If you live in Indiana, you don't even have to leave your house to take it. The Indiana Housing and Community Development Association is now offering this class online! So just visit their site and get your start on finding a safe, affordable home.
