2021 Community Bankers Symposium Banking on the Future
The 15th Community Bankers Symposium, “Banking on the Future” was hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors on Friday, October 22, 2021. This event was virtual via WebEx.
Senior policymakers, financial industry practitioners, and professionals from all associated regulatory agencies participated in the event. Governor Michelle Bowman joined as the keynote speaker, while Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President and CEO Charles Evans provided his perspectives on the community bank environment. The Future of Business, Technology and Banking was explored by futurist and author Brett King while perspective on Cyber Risk and Current Threats was shared by representatives from the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S Department of Homeland Security, CISA. In addition, legislative updates from D.C. were provided and a regulatory panel finished off the day.
