Open House Chicago
For the 7th year, the Chicago Fed is opening its doors for the Chicago Architecture Center’s signature (and free!) festival, Open House Chicago. Visit us on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 between 10am-5pm to get exclusive access to the 100-year-old Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago building and Money Museum.
The Chicago Fed is one of 170+ architecturally, culturally and historically significant sites participating in Open House Chicago. This free, annual festival is one of the largest events of its kind in the world, showcasing history and architecture at locations across the city—many of them typically inaccessible to the public. No registration is necessary, though you can download the app, get a priority access pass, and more on the Open House Chicago website.
Bring your friends and family to enjoy behind-the-scenes access to the Great Hall—a space not normally open to the public—and see part of the Chicago Fed’s collection of works by Seventh District artists. Explore on your own or enjoy brief presentations from Chicago Fed volunteers.
