Steve Erlebacher is vice president of analytics for Wiley Education Services, a division of John Wiley & Sons. In this role, he applies analytic techniques to help improve business outcomes in the areas of strategy, marketing, sales and operations. Before joining Wiley, Erlebacher served in similar roles for DeVry Education Group and Kaplan Higher Education. Prior to his work in higher education, he was a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton (now the strategy& team at PwC) and Helios Consulting. He has also served as an assistant professor of operations and manufacturing management in the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.

Erlebacher has published articles in peer reviewed journals, including Management Science, Operations Research, Production and Operations Management and IIE Transactions. He serves on the advisory council to Program in Jewish Culture and Society at the University of Illinois, and is a board member of Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School in Chicago and the Chicago Board of Governors for Israel Bonds. Erlebacher received his BS in mathematics and economics from the University of Illinois where he graduated summa cum laude. He went on to earn his MS and PhD in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.
