Midwest Manufacturing Output Falls in November
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index (CFMMI) fell 2.6% in November, to a
seasonally adjusted level of 109.1 (1997=100). Revised data show the index fell 0.6%, to
112.0 in October. The Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for manufacturing
(IPMFG) rose 1.0% in November. Regional output in November was 4.2% lower
than a year earlier, while output in the nation was 1.7% above year-ago levels.
