I am pleased to have this opportunity
once again to discuss monetary policy with
you within the context of recent and prospective
economic developments. As usual on
these occasions, you have the Board of Governors'
"Humphrey-Hawkins" Report before
you. This morning I want to enlarge upon
some aspects of that Report and amplify as
fully as I can my thinking with respect to the
period ahead.
