At the Fed, I am a part of the Cash Support team. My job entails a variety of tasks that I am responsible for completing on a weekly/monthly/annual basis. I develop and conduct training for the departmental staff. In addition, I analyze new and pending controls requirements that impact Cash services. This includes reviewing policies and procedures to ensure they’re compliant with system standards. All policies and controls are tested to ensure they meet treasury regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
My day-to-day activities vary depending on deadlines. There are four areas that I primarily focus on which include: compliance reviews, training, IT access reviews, and specialized projects. Depending on the time of year, the focus on these areas may shift. It is important for me to be attentive to all assignments and manage my time appropriately. Assignments can change at any moment, so it is important to be flexible and able to shift focus.
The Federal Reserve provides endless opportunities. As an analyst,
I get to work on a variety of tasks that help in the development of my career; this is something a lot of companies do not offer.
I would recommend the Fed because it is a good place for someone who would like to continuously grow in their career. They encourage career development and assist with continuous education efforts. The Fed provides a family oriented environment.
A lot of my free time is spent on my education, but I also enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy traveling and spending the weekend doing various activities. When I have some downtime, I enjoy spending it at the gym, as that is therapeutic.
