Eighteenth Annual Automotive Outlook Symposium

On June 2-3, 2011, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will host its Eighteenth Annual Automotive Outlook Symposium at its Detroit Branch.
On Thursday, June 2, the day will begin with a panel discussion, followed by a luncheon. After lunch we will head out to the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hill, Michigan for a tour of Chrysler's state-of-the-art Wind Tunnel and conclude with a reception at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. On Friday, June 3, the symposium will convene at the Detroit Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
This year's symposium focuses on the near-term automotive outlook and the long-term structure of the industry. The topics include the perspective of the auto industry from the financial sector; the vehicle sales outlook from the OEM (original equipment manufacturers) perspective; medium- and heavy-duty truck industry outlook; dealers'perspectives on the sales outlook; the future of the supplier industry post-restructuring; and the consensus outlook of symposium participants.

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum and Chrysler Wind Tunnel is located on the Chrysler Group LLC headquarters complex in Auburn Hills, Michigan, approximately 30 miles north of downtown Detroit. Easily accessible from I-75 at exit 78 (Chrysler Drive), the museum is located at the southeast corner of the complex, at the intersection of Featherstone and Squirrel Roads. Free on-site parking is available.
The museum offers a barrier- and smoke-free environment.
