Eric Rosengren is president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, one of 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks. Eric is a participant in the Federal Open Market Committee, the monetary policymaking body of the United States, and a 2019 voting member. As president and CEO of the Boston Fed, Eric leads the Bank’s work, which includes economic research and analysis; banking supervision and financial stability efforts; community development activities; and a wide range of payments, technology, and finance initiatives.
Since he was appointed president of FRB Boston in 2007, Eric has taken a rigorously data-driven approach in forming his views on the national and regional economy. He has led a number of efforts to expand the Boston Fed’s outreach and impact on low- and moderate-income communities, including hosting sizable foreclosure-prevention workshops for New England residents during the Great Recession and running a competition for postindustrial New England communities to develop cross-sector collaboration and ultimately help improve the lives of lower-income residents.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colby College, where he is the current chair of the board of trustees, and earned a master’s and doctorate in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Janie Barrera

Janie Barrera is founding president and CEO of LiftFund, a nonprofit micro-and small-business lender. The organization provides loans and training to enterprises, from startups to long established businesses and operates in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. LiftFund started in 1994, and has disbursed more than 21,000 loans totaling more than $300 million in underserved communities.
President Barack Obama appointed Ms. Barrera to the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. She served on the board of directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, San Antonio Branch.
David John

David C. John is a senior strategic policy advisor at the AARP Public Policy Institute focusing on pension and retirement savings issues. PPI is AARP’s internal think tank. John also serves as the deputy director of the Retirement Security Project at the Brookings Institution. RSP focuses on improving retirement savings in the United States, especially among moderate- and low-income workers. Prior to joining AARP, John was a senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation for 14½ years.
Maurice Jones

With deep experience in both public and private sectors, Maurice A. Jones became the fourth president and CEO of Local Initiatives Support Corporation, or LISC, in 2016. He has served as the secretary of commerce for the Commonwealth of Virginia, deputy secretary for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), commissioner of Virginia’s Department of Social Services, deputy chief of staff to former Virginia Governor Mark Warner and, during the Clinton administration, director of The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund). Maurice was the president and publisher of the Virginian-Pilot Media Group and a corporate attorney at Hunton & Williams. He is also a Rhodes scholar and sits on the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors.
Holly Wade

Holly Wade is the director of research and policy analysis for NFIB, where she conducts original research and studies public policy effects on small businesses. She produces the monthly “Small Business Economic Trends” survey and national employer surveys on topics related to small business operations. Wade has undergraduate degrees in political science and sociology from the University of Washington, and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Denver.
