Midwest Manufacturing Output Rises in February
The Chicago Fed Midwest Manufacturing Index (CFMMI) rose 0.9% in February 2007, to a
seasonally adjusted level of 103.7 (2002 = 100). Revised data show the index dropped 1.9% in
January, to 102.8. The Federal Reserve Board’s industrial production index for manufacturing
(IPMFG) was up 0.3% in February. Regional output in February was 0.6% higher than a year
earlier, below the 2.9% increase in national output.
